Situated on a hill, with the sea at its feet, freedom, room to breathe and space in all its aspects.
Forests cover the hills all around, the garden fills the air with perfume and invites you to spend a little time there. All around us are the five elements, water, earth, wood, air and the fire of the Chimera. These elements give the area a special energy to Lykia. This life force, the lush abundant natural surroundings and the peace and quiet, provide the perfect atmosphere to focus on the truly important things.
Whoever finds working in groups provides more pleasure than work, where the group is looked after and provided for, and where one can just focus on the issues raised by the seminar. A pleasure for all involved.
You can find all this 100 km away from Antalya Airport, in a little valley, 12 km from the nearest motor way, in Adrasan and the Lykia Guest and Seminar House.
5 time tabled, free pickups from the airport bring the participants to Lykia. Set in lush gardens, with a main house and pool, as well as the low lying, spacious bungalows, with double or single occupancy available. All with their own bathrooms, terraces, air conditioning and heating.
Two large seminar rooms, 80 sq metre and 120 sq metre, are available. High ceilings, wooden floors, music systems with cd, aux and Bluetooth, chairs, flip charts, yoga mats, meditation cushions, blocks, belts …. All sorts of seminars can take place here.
In the Summer months, the 80 sq metre room under shady trees, immerses you deep in nature and yet is sheltered within. In the cooler months both rooms are well heated by a wood burner.
I have been coming to Lykia with seminar groups for several years now, and look forward to being in this wonderful place, with its unbelievably beautiful landscape, the warm welcome and care on offer. It is truly one of the loveliest places to run a seminar, where one can work intensively and yet feel like you are on holidays.
Lykia has a life force all of its own and in Autumn 2016, despite all the developments in Turkey, experienced once again the peaceful, gentle embrace of Adrasan and am already looking forward to coming again in 2017.
From the seminar house it is only 20 minutes’ walk through pomegranate and orange plantations to the sea. An agricultural paradise unlike anywhere else. The hospitable country welcomes all visitors with a smile and Adrasan Bay relaxes all who come here with its sheltered charm.
At the beach are small restaurants and kiosks, with local specialities. The daily free beach transfers from Lykia make it easy to enjoy the warm, crystal clear waters in seminar breaks. The bus can be organised to fit in with the seminar timetable.
The delicious cuisine in Lykia is truly unique. We offer vegetarian full board. Our chef and his team also make a variety of vegan, gluten and lactose free delicacies on a daily basis. We can tailor the offer for block bookings or seminar groups, i.e. a completely vegan week. All is possible.
Along with our main meals, there is a chilled buffet with fresh, seasonal fruit, cakes and pastries, available all day, perfect for the short breaks.
A unique luxury for the southern Mediterranean: Lykia has its own well which provides lovely spring water from all taps and fountains. A variety of fresh and dried teas are available all day for all, with hot water on tap. On Saturdays we always have a large barbecue with fresh fish and meat on offer for all who fancy it.
Wifi and a guest pc are available in the comfortable main house with restaurant, living room area with chimney and library. Our rooms are purposely television and internet free oases, to free all from the daily grind. Whoever would like to can also sleep with no electricity flowing.
Lykia tries wherever possible to be self-sufficient and environmentally aware. Our solar panels and heat exchange pump provide the hot water. An organic sewage treatment facility looks after the waste water. Towels are only changed when wished – many guests use their towels for several days. We also do not provide water in plastic bottles but rather keep jugs of cool, spring water in the fridges available to all in the bar area. We try wherever possible to eliminate plastic. Organic waste is separated and composted. No processed products are used, we back our own bread, make our own jam….
To break up the seminar programme, and provide a break, Lykia offers many possible excursions, from silent walks in nature, visits to ancient cities in the area, to a boat tour along the coast. Real highlights of the week.
A seminar in Lykia? Simply because I get such inspiration from the beauty surrounding us and the wonderful care from the Lykia team, all good for the soul!
